Personality & Traits

Personality Overview Crissy is quite head strong. She knows what she wants and will try and find a way to get it.

Crissy also likes the rule book and will stick to it as much as she can but can be outspoken.

Personal History Crissy was born in 2354. The Adkins family lived in Okinawa, Japan as both of her parents worked at the Daystrom Institute in the experimental propulsion division.

Charlie and Jane were surprised to find out they were having another child as their youngest son, John, was already 12 years old when Jane fell pregnant. However, they were over the moon to hear they were expecting a little girl after having four boys.

However, with Jane in her late 40s and Charlie in his early 50s, Crissy was mainly brought up by her brothers. Both her parents were in full research mode and couldn't really spend any time with Crissy as she grew up. With her older brothers being her main role models she quickly became a tomboy. She was always into rough and tumble as well as sports.

At the age of 18, having spent pretty much the last 8 years fending for herself after John left for University, she decided not to follow the family trade of going to university and becoming a scientist. She wanted to see the galaxy, so she decided to join Starfleet.

During her time at the academy, she excelled in Security, Martial arts and tactics. These were her chosen subjects going into her final years

Upon graduating, Crissy was quickly assigned to the USS Britannic as a Tactical officer. The war was still raging with the Dominion and she was sent to the front lines.

After the war, the Britannic was recalled to San Francisco shipyards to undergo a refit. The ship's crew, bar her Captain, were reassigned.

Crissy was assigned to the USS Jenkins as a Security officer. She enjoyed her tour on the Jenkins, she made some good friends during the four years she was aboard. She also was married briefly to Ed Stone, a fellow security officer, but after a whirl wind relationship, marriage didn't suit either of them. They divorced 7 months later.

When she saw an opening in Starfleet's internal affairs she requested a transfer. Internal Affairs always interested her and was over the moon when she was accepted.

Although investigating fellow serving members of Starfleet wasn't exactly a fun job she found the variety very interesting. That is until she found herself being investigated for improper conduct and trying to manipulate a witness. All charges were later dropped but felt there was a lack of confidence with her superiors and decided it might be best for reassignment.

She took a Chief of Security position aboard the USS Nobel, an Olympic Class medical ship. The Nobel was getting ready to return to Romulan space and continue the evacuation of the Romulan people. However the following year the Romulan evacuation was halted due to an attack on Mars by rogue synths.

Two years later the Nobel was back in Romulan space helping the relief effort at the Hobus event. Unfortunately, they came across a very angry Romulan by the name of Nero and who wanted revenge against Starfleet claiming they did nothing to assist the Romulan people. He destroyed the Nobel and left her survivors alive so they could spread fear of what he did to the Federation. Crissy was one of these survivors, she was the only senior officer to survive the ordeal.

She spent three months in Starfleet Medicals care as she recovered from her injuries both physically and mentally.

Once she was fully recovered she was assigned to the USS Benz as Chief of Security and Second Officer.

Crissy spent seven years on the Benz, she made a lot of friends but she just never felt like she belonged there. She always kept her eye open on the open positions list looking for the right position that grabbed her attention, then it did.

The USS Kumari, an Inquiry Class vessel, had just made its way back from a harrowing experience after an engine malfunction threw them into another galaxy. The ship had taken heavy losses as well as extensive damage. She made her way back home but needed a lot of repair time. The Kumari lost her XO on the mission so Adkins applied and was accepted by the ship's Captain, Jack Colburn.

Crissy and Jack butted heads from day one, both seeming to rub each other the wrong way constantly. Arguing over small things like ship policy and bigger things such as mission implementation or diplomatic choices.

After 18 months, Adkins was on the brink of throwing in the towel and requesting a transfer when Jack decided to come clean and told her that he was tough on her as he thought she had the potential to take over command of the Kumari when he stepped down.

He took Crissy under his wing and showed her to ropes of commanding a Starship. For the next 6 years, Jack gave her more and more responsibility.

In 2399, Kumari was recalled for a major refit and this was the time Jack felt it was time to step down and retire from Starfleet. He passed the torch to Crissy and took retirement from Starfleet.

Once Kumari had finished her refit, she was ordered to Deep Space 12 in the Maelstrom.
