Personality Overview

Appearance: Reasonably tall, well muscled and sporting a few freckles across his nose and cheek that aren't part of his Trill heritage but rather due to the drugs he took to appear more Human. Slightly olive green skin due to his Romulan heritage, slanted eyebrows, pointed ears. Now that he lost access to the medication he needs to suppress his Trill physiology, spots have started to show clearly on his body. As with a full Trill, they run from his temples down the side of his face and neck, acfross his shoulders and then past his sides all the way down to his ankles. With the loss of medication, his freckles will gradually start to disappear. Personality: eremy is fairly extrovert but also fairly private, however he is quite able to talk to someone professionally and be of help to them. Being half Romulan makes him a bit of an outsider at times, though he has a fair amount of friends. However, strangely enough he is liked well enough by women of all species. Likes to spend time in the ship's galley, cooking actual meals for those who desire it. (He is a professional chef aside from being a counselor) Jeremy is, at present, an unjoined half-Trill, on the road of discovering his true heritage. Eventually he will be forcibly joined to a symbiont called Ezio. The first days will be very troublesome as Ezio is an ancient creature who had at least 10 previous hosts, the last one having met a very gruesome end. Pronounciation of symbiont's name: Et-zee-oh (with the stress on "et") Pronounciation of son's name: Al-ta-eer (with the stress on "ta", where both a's are pronounced kinda like as in car or the british "can't") In 2398, Jeremy was forced into joining with the symbiont Ezio, only weeks after discovering his Trill heritage. As is custom with joined Trill, however, he changed his name to Ezio, after accepting that the symbiont was part of him for life. However as the joining to him will always be remembered as a traumatic event, both host and symbiont are scarred by it. Strengths & weaknesses: strength: good cook, great tastebuds, protective nature, good listener weakness: tends to overdo on the pepper, sucker for beautiful women, his son Altaïr With the addition of Ezio to his physique, the symbiont is now both a strength due to his wealth of knowledge, as well as a weakness as Jeremy now has one more thing to concern himself with, besides his own personal health. Hobbies & interests: cooking, cooking and...oh yes...cooking! Aside from that, Jeremy loves to go swimming and play ice-hockey on the holodeck. Did we mention cooking yet? Ambitions: Own his own restaurant on Earth, while still do his part as counselor. And of course be the best father he can be to his son.

Personal History		Jeremy is the oldest child of Devoras and Isabel Donovan and has a two year younger sister. When both children were in their late teens, their parents were killed in a transporter accident, after the transporters showed a malfunction. There never was any blame assigned as it was an unfortunate accident due to equipment failure. The Donovans grew up as happy children, helping out in their father's restaurant on Earth. Elaenor took over the restaurant as chef cook, while Jeremy enlisted into Starfleet as cook. However when he turned 23, he decided to apply to the academy and enter into the counseling track. He left the academy after his first year, not finding his calling just yet, and roamed among the starships, flitting from position to position. Finally he decided to return to the academy later that year and pick up his training again, breezing through the academy with ease this time. A year before graduation, he met a lovely Human girl named Caro Kaylee Addams and they were engaged to be married soon after Jeremy learned he had gotten her pregnant. Less than a week after the birth of his son Altaïr, in 2398, the girl disappeared, leaving the helpless infant with his father. (Caro too was a hidden Trill, making Altaïr more Trill, genetically, than his father) Jeremy did his best to find his fiancée, but so far had no luck in doing so. After five weeks, Jeremy started to give up hope and stopped searching, realising that she might not want to be found. He still hopes that in the future, she will return to him and help him raise their son. He was joined with Ezio not long after his son's birth. Jeremy never had any hope of ever being joined as usually half-Trill never ended up as such. The Symbiosis Commission would never approve. However. Jeremy had little choice in the matter as it was a situation of life or death for Ezio and the only other Trill available had a medical record several pages long and proved to be unsuitable as a host. Due to his half-Trill heritage, the doctors were fearful that he might reject the symbiont, but surprisingly the joining went relatively smoothly. Of course, being unprepared and never having gone through the extensive training a prospect joinee would do, Jeremy was overwhelmed by the symbiont's memories and needed several days to adjust and find himself again. He was slow in accepting Ezio's memories as well as his constant chatter, for Ezio and Jeremy aren't truly one personality. Ezio often talks to his host, offering his own view on matters at hand, or even his host's thoughts. Jeremy and Ezio are both content with their manner of blending, even though the host does need regular check-ups to see whether his isoboramine levels are still up to par. On occasion, Jeremy needs injections to boost said levels, but they aren't many. Three months after the birth of Altaïr, Jeremy received news that the body of his missing fiancée had been found. That was the first share of bad news. The second part was that he was unwelcome at the funeral, and the girl's family refused to tell him how she had died and when exactly she had died. Her family had never approved of their wedding plans and regarded him as an unwelcome intrusion as she had been full Trill, and unjoined. Angry, and rejected, Jeremy grieved on his own as his sister was out of his immediate reach. To day, he still fears her family may come to take his baby son away from him, even though they had indicated not wanting to have to do anything with him either. Before the news, they had never enquired after their grandson/cousin/nephew, never once showing any kind of interest in how he was doing. Jeremy hopes to find some peace on his next assignment, getting back into daily routine and increasing his experience in counseling as, personally, he's still reasonably inexperienced, despite Ezio's wealth of knowledge. Over the years, Jeremy has gained experience as counselor serving on various starships both as junior and chief counselor. All the while remaining a single parent to his young son. He has had a brief marriage which ended in a nasty divorce, when he discovered his husband had cheated on him. Ezio's past hosts: 10th - Thomas Ezio, male intelligence officer, assassinated.
