Personality & Traits

Personality Overview Lilolette can be taken out of London. But her strong accent suggests London can’t be taken out of her. Proud of her identity as a Londoner and a lesbian, Lilolette is a loyal, dependable mother, wife and friend. They have the privilege of calling her "Lilo" (lee-lo).

Tough and resilient, Lilolette can always be counted on to step up to the mantle. Her youth’s rebellious nature is much less prevalent as she enters her late twenties. Despite this, speaking her mind comes as easy to Lilolette as piloting a starship. Even when she knows it’ll get her into trouble.

Off duty, Lilolette can be found spending time with her wife, daughters or playing her guitar.

Personal History In 2410, pub landlady Romilly “Millie” Seastri-Cleminson discovered she was expecting her first, ultimately only child. She decided she would give her daughter the most unusual name she could find. Lilolette Birdie Cleminson was born in Camden Town, London, in May 2411.

Granddaughter and great-granddaughter of renowned Starfleet engineers Faith Cleminson, Matthew Hawkins, Lilolette would spend the first eighteen years of her life living above The Lime Tree pub in Camden Town. Despite Millie’s demanding job, Lilolette never wanted for anything.

A rebellious child, Lilolette was often berated at school for not paying attention in class. From the age of eleven, she would go out with friends, play music instead of doing her homework. It was after starting high school she met her future wife, Felicity Bainbridge. Felicity’s parents did not approve of her friendship with Lilolette. They considered her a bad influence on their daughter.

At the age of fourteen, Lilolette became more and more involved in writing and playing music. She, three of her friends formed a band and convinced venues in their local area to let them play. Lilolette was the vocalist, but also played guitar. After two years of asking for a gig at The Lime Tree, Millie eventually relented.

It was clear Lilolette had found her calling. Or so she’d thought. But after her daughter turned eighteen, Millie was concerned about her future direction. Lilolette passed most of her exams, but Millie felt Lilolette should aim higher than working in The Lime Tree and playing music at weekends. Lilolette reiterated she was content with her life. Which she was. In late 2429 though, this would change.

After finding out Felicity planned to join Starfleet as a doctor, Lilolette, with strong encouragement from her mother and grandmothers, joined her. After a heart-to-heart conversation on the banks of the Thames before leaving for San Francisco, Lilolette, Felicity began a relationship.

Lilolette’s exceptional talent as a pilot was noted. Clearly, this was her real calling. A starship pilot. Four years of training later, she and Felicity completed their training. They were both assigned to USS Mildmay. Lilolette was the second of her generation to be assigned to one of the Langley-class starships, designed by a team led by Faith Cleminson and Matthew Hawkins. However, the experimental Mildmay was different to the rest. Or as the latter said, “special”.

Her time in the Starfleet Academy had grounded Lilolette. But her assignment to Mildmay was the making of her. In 2434, she, Felicity were married by their commanding officer, Captain Henry Delancey. Ten months later, Felicity gave birth to their daughter. Nellie Willow Cleminson. Like her mothers, she was born in London as Mildmay was undergoing repairs. In recognition of his role in their lives, Henry was asked by Lilolette, Felicity to be one of Nellie’s godparents. A request he proudly accepted. He would accept the same honour two years later for Nellie's sister, Emilia.

In late 2437, Mildmay required a new Chief Flight Control Officer. Rather than accept a shoe-in from Starfleet, Henry promoted Lilolette. Eighteen months later, Mildmay was taken out of service for a year-long refit. Leaving their home of six years left Lilolette, Felicity feeling sad. It had become a second home for them. Nellie had spent the first four years of her life on board. But, Mildmay’s crew were needed elsewhere. Only Captain Delancey, a few others would remain.

A period of shore leave was taken in London. Afterwards, Lilolette, Felicity were assigned to USS Saratoga.
