U.S.S. Saratoga Senior Staff Manifest (U.S.S. Saratoga)
Senior staff assigned to the U.S.S. Saratoga, Federation flagship for the Maelstrom Sector.
U.S.S. Saratoga Commanding Officer Ultimately responsible for the ship and crew, the Commanding Officer is the most senior officer aboard a vessel. S/he is responsible for carrying out the orders of Starfleet, and for representing both Starfleet and the Federation. U.S.S. Saratoga Executive Officer The liaison between captain and crew, the Executive Officer acts as the disciplinarian, personnel manager, advisor to the captain, and much more. S/he is also one of only two officers, along with the Chief Medical Officer, that can remove a Commanding Officer from duty. U.S.S. Saratoga Chief Engineering Officer The Chief Engineer is responsible for the condition of all systems and equipment on board a Starfleet ship or facility. S/he oversees maintenance, repairs and upgrades of all equipment. S/he is also responsible for the many repair teams during crisis situations.
The Chief Engineer is not only the department head but also a senior officer, responsible for all the crew members in her/his department and maintenance of the duty rosters.U.S.S. Saratoga Chief Flight Control/Operations Officer Combined in the early 2380s due to increased automation aboard starships, the Chief Flight Control/Operations Officer is responsible for overseeing the piloting of the vessel and distribution of shipboard resources.
In their role as Flight Control Officer, this officer originally known as helm, plots the ship's course, supervises the computers piloting, corrects any flight deviations and pilots the ship manually when needed.
In the role of Operations Manager, this officer ensures that ship functions do not interfere with one and another by prioritizing resource allocations so that critical activities occur uninterrupted. Should an action threaten shipboard operations or risk the safety of the ship, the Operations Manager can override and cancel any shipboard activity.U.S.S. Saratoga Chief Medical Officer The Chief Medical Officer is responsible for the physical health of the entire crew, but does more than patch up injured crew members. His/her function is to ensure that they do not get sick or injured to begin with, and to this end monitors their health and conditioning with regular check ups. If necessary, the Chief Medical Officer can remove anyone from duty, even a Commanding Officer. Besides this s/he is available to provide medical advice to any individual who requests it.
Additionally the Chief is also responsible for all aspect of the medical deck, such as the Medical labs, Surgical suites and Dentistry labs.

Saratoga Chief Security/Tactical Officer The Chief Security/Tactical Officer - also known as the Chief of Security - in the final authority for the safety of the ship and crew from both external and internal threats.
As the Chief of Security, this officer oversees all shipboard security personnel to ensure the safety of guests and shipboard personnel and can place persons under arrest for crimes committed. It is the personal duty of the Chief of Security to protect the Commanding Officer and Executive Officer and either s/he is assigned to every away mission or a designated designee.
In the role of Chief Tactical Officer, this officer is responsible oversees the numerous defensive and offensive systems aboard the craft and provides analysis of any external threat encountered. -
Deep Space 12 (Starfleet)
Starfleet personnel assigned to Deep Space 12, Federation flagbase for the Maelstrom Sector.
Maelstrom Sector Commander The Sector Commander is a specialized position held by the highest ranked Starfleet Officer within the Maelstrom Sector and is responsible for all Federation operations within the region. U.S.S. Saratoga Engineering Officer Engineers are the backbone of the Engineering Corps and are responsible for, under the guidance of the Chief Engineer, maintaining and repairing the vessel. U.S.S. Saratoga Flight Control/Operations Officer Reporting to the Chief Flight Control/Operations Officer, the Flight Control/Operations Officer has a critical role in the safe operation of the vessel.
As a Flight Control Officer, this crewmember is trained to plot courses, supervises the computer's piloting, and can pilot the ship manually when needed. As an Operations Manager is trained to adequately manage shipboard resources to ensure optimal efficiency aboard the craft.U.S.S. Saratoga Medical Officer The starship's Medical Officer support the Chief Medical Officer in ensuring the health of the crew, completing medical examinations the crew and administering medical care. U.S.S. Saratoga Medical Officer/Counselor A specialized Medical Officer, the Counselor treats crewmembers with personal, psychological, and emotional problems. Further, the Counselor may advise the Commanding Officer in interactions with other people and races. U.S.S. Saratoga Science Officer One of several generalized Science Officers aboard a starship, the Science Officer is assigned to their duties by the Chief Science Officer. This officer is versed in a diverse variety of scientific topics but may also have specialized training in a topic. U.S.S. Saratoga Security/Tactical Officer Security/Tactical Officers, overseen by the Chief Security/Tactical Officer, have responsibility for protecting the ship and crew from threats.
In their security role these personnel are assigned to guard sensitive areas, protect people, and perform patrols of the starship.
In their tactical role these personnel maintain the weapons of the vessel, analyze threats, and planning a tactical response. -
U.S.S. Saratoga Enlisted Manifest (U.S.S. Saratoga)
Enlisted personnel assigned to the U.S.S. Saratoga, Federation flagship for the Maelstrom Sector.
U.S.S. Saratoga Engineering Specialist The Engineering Specialist is a enlisted Engineer that undertakes specialized training in conducting damage control operations and is often specialized to specific systems aboard a starship or station. U.S.S. Saratoga Nurse Nurses are trained in basic medical care, and are capable of dealing with less serious medical cases. In more serious matters the nurse assists the medical officer in the examination and administration of medical care, be this injecting required drugs, or simply assuring the injured party that they will be ok. The Nurses also maintain the medical wards, overseeing the patients and ensuring they are receiving medication and care as instructed by the Medical Officer. U.S.S. Saratoga Pilot All small spacecrafts aboard a starship, starbase or a facility (Shuttles, Runabouts, Transports, Captain's yacht, Patrol Vessels etc.) may be flown by Support Craft Pilots when Flight Control Officers are unavailable. U.S.S. Saratoga Science Specialist The Science Specialist is an enlisted crewmember who has received training to assist the Science Officers in their investigations. Specialists are also trained to interpret the detailed information received from the vessel's sensors, providing analysis for the vessel's staff. U.S.S. Saratoga Security Specialist The Security Specialist is trained in a variety of means of combat, from melee to ranged projectile to sniping and assigned to protect the personnel aboard the vessel. U.S.S. Saratoga Transporter Specialist The Transporter Specialist (also known as the Transporter Chief) oversees the transporter system and is responsible for all transports to and from other ships and any planetary bodies. When transporting is not going on, the Transporter Chief is responsible for keeping the transporters running at peak efficiency. U.S.S. Saratoga Yeoman The Yeoman is an enlisted crewmember who serve as administrators. S/he must prioritize resource allocations, so that the most critical activities can have every chance of success. If so required, s/he can curtail shipboard functions if s/he thinks they will interfere with the ship's current mission or routine operations.
