The Saratoga has been sent to make contact with the enigmatic Kessok, the only spacefaring race native to the Maelstrom Sector. While at a state dinner, the crew are challenged to a contest of wills after inadvertently insulting their guests. With the risk of losing an important ally, the Saratoga crew must find a way to salvage this first contact.
